When I Have a Problem...

Are there things I should do before talking to the provider?

My advice is to check your internet speed first, then clear the cache and try again. Also, unplug your device for 10-15 minutes before trying again.

First, I check my internet speed. If there is no problem, I send a message to the provider:)

Internet speed is important, but ping rate matters too. Clearing the cache is a good tip. The provider will also ask you to do this. Restarting your device can sometimes fix the issue. If you use a router, reset it too.

After checking a few things, I call the provider.

Check internet speed

Clear cache

Restart

I always do these things. But since I use a VPN, I first change the country. If the problem continues, I turn off the VPN.

Also, the app or device may need an update.

There are many things to do, but some may already be done. This helps shorten the list. For example, you may have cleared the cache recently etc.

Some things can wait until after talking to the provider. The provider may have solutions too. If you don’t use a VPN, they may assign one to your connection or ask you to test your playlist with a VPN.

They can also give you an alternative connection. Having alternative connections helps check if the problem is with you or the provider.

So, calling the provider and saying "I did these things" makes it easier to fix the issue.

Sometimes, the issue isn't avoiding an update, but installing one.
